"We have fully furnished accommodation ready for young people."

We work in partnership with Local Authorities

Our strength is achieved by working in partnership with local authorities to develop tailored packages of support to meet the needs of the individual young person.

We offer Local Authorities Emergency Accommodation  with support staff that safeguard young people. Inspired Housing provides best solutions for young people with high support needs. We specialise in supporting young people with behavioural issues, drugs misuse, re offenders and CSE issues.

It is well decorated and comfortably furnished containing all the amenities associated with modern life – central heating; fitted kitchen with fridge/freezer and washer/dryer; adequate bathing/shower facilities etc. It has a comfortable communal lounge equipped with a TV. It has a separate specious dining room area, a phone line and a computer with access to internet.   All young people have their own bedrooms which are lockable and can be personalised to reflect their own identity. They are furnished with beds, a wardrobe, and a chest of drawers.
Our assessment unit is very close to local amenities such as local shopping Centre, school and bus routes, and it is also within close proximity to a number of churches, mosques, synagogues and temples and there are several doctors, dentists and opticians nearby from which young people can choose.

Therapy

Inspired Housing and Support is committed to the provision of high quality, young person centered service. In order to maintain this quality, the home offers direct work with young people (providing assessment, formulation and evidence-based interventions) as well as consultancy/advice to staff. Inspired Housing and Support encourages a therapeutic relationship, which focuses mainly on the emotional and social wellbeing of the young person. Each young person at Inspired Housing and Support is encouraged to develop a strong sense of self, as well as build on their emotional strength, positive relationships and good communication skills.
Inspired Housing and Support does not only deliver individual therapy, but also group based therapeutic interventions (where required). This may also involve the young person’s key worker if deemed appropriate.
The main aims of therapy include:
Building self esteem
Improving communication
Stimulating development
Building on emotion management
Improving the emotional vocabulary
Developing skills for self-control
Maintaining positive relationships
Empowering young people to make positive life choices

Inspired Housing and Support understands the importance of working therapeutically with young people. We are able to facilitate interventions with those who have experienced a diverse range of difficulties including multiple placement breakdowns.
Therapeutic support is offered as a means of helping the young person come to terms with issues that are troubling them. As well as this area of support, we can facilitate life story work with young people which provides the opportunity for them to discover their own individual story, learn ways of understanding themselves and to make a connection between the past, present and future. Life Story work can also address identity and self-esteem issues.
Through our work we help young people to experience positive relationships, in a safe environment, as well as giving them the opportunity to experience different ways of relating, living and learning.
